Data Protection Act 1998 (c29)
Nar-Club TURKEY (hereinafter referred to as Nar-Club) is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998, reference: Z7959677. Under the provisions of the Act, you may ask us to provide details of any personal information held on our computer system. We are entitled to charge a fee for this information. If any of the information about you is inaccurate, you may request that we amend it.
Access to your personal data – You have the right to request copies of all your personal data held by Nar-Club, which will be provided to you within 28 days of the request. Nar-Club reserves the right to charge for unfounded or excessive requests. We retain all member and request information in our databases indefinitely, unless you indicate that you no longer wish Nar-Club to hold your personal information. You have the right to request removal of this information by contacting your local Nar-Club group.
Legal Basis for Data Processing
Our legal bases for processing personal data are:
- Consent: The individual has given explicit consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
- Contract: Processing is necessary for a contract you have with the individual or because the individual asks you to take certain steps before entering into a contract.
- Legitimate interests: The processing is necessary for your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless there is a good reason overriding those legitimate interests to protect the individual’s personal data. (This does not apply if you are a public authority that processes data to fulfill your official duties).
Knowledge Sharing
Nar-Club will never sell mailing lists of personal information to third parties. Eligible member information may be shared with other Nar-Club groups, Nar-Club business partners and suppliers of the events you have booked for event management purposes.
Contact
If you have submitted your personal information to us through this website, by email, telephone or post, we may contact you from time to time when we have space for membership or promotions. If you do not wish to receive such communications, please call us on 0161 873 8788 or you can change your details and make your own privacy settings from the dashboard area. In this area you can also view all the information we hold about you.
Social Media
As an additional service to members beyond our legal membership obligations, Nar-Club carries out most of its social media communication via Facebook. There is the main Nar-Club TURKEY Facebook page, each group has its own page and an event group page. Nar-Club reserves the right to monitor any post and request members to edit or delete any post.
Member Reservations
When a member books an event, their name will be shown in the “Who’s Going” list, which shows other members who have booked the event. These details can only be viewed when a member logs into the system and purchases the event or vacation. Nar-Club aims to create a “club feel” and we have seen this system work well for many years, allowing members to see which events their friends have booked.
However, we realize that some members may not want this information to be disclosed and this information may be stored by the member in their profile section when they log in. Members who do not choose this option will not have their personal information displayed. You can change your privacy settings at any time in the control panel section of your profile.
Event Organizers
Nar-Club may provide personal information about members and guests booking for a particular event to the supplier of that event, whether another Nar-Club group or an independent supplier. This information will consist of details regarding dietary requirements, medical conditions and room requests for the comfort and safety of members at events and will not be used for other purposes by other groups or suppliers.
Website Non-Members / General Area
Non-members will not be able to access areas containing members’ names and personal contact information. Access to the members’ area requires a password and membership number.
If you make any request to Nar-Club via the website, the information you enter will be stored in our systems and you will be contacted via e-mail. If you wish to have your information removed from our system, please contact us by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
Cookies
This site uses cookies. Cookies are messages given to a web browser by a website and then stored on your computer. The main purpose of a cookie is to identify users and personalize their visit by customizing web pages. Websites can only read cookies left by that website. They cannot read cookies left by other websites and cannot read other personal information stored on your computer.
If you check the “Remember Me” box when registering using our online booking system, a cookie containing your login details will be saved on your computer, so that the next time you visit this site your login will be automatic. If you do not click on the “Remember Me” box, you can continue to log in by manually entering your membership number and password. We recommend that you do not click “Remember Me” if you are accessing this website from a public computer.
You can choose to disable cookies globally at any time through your browser. However, this may prevent you from logging into the member’s area and we recommend that cookies are always enabled for our website (some browsers allow you to specify which sites you allow to use cookies if you choose to restrict their use).
Automatically Saved Information
We may record information about the number of times this site is visited and the IP (Internet Protocol) address of your computer. This does not contain any personal information about you, but it allows us to analyze statistics about how popular parts of the website are. This will allow us to further improve the website.
Debit and Credit Cards
All credit card transactions are recorded on a secure server. Normally you will see an indication of this in the status bar of Internet Explorer, such as a padlock. If for some reason the padlock or similar indicator is not visible (for example, if part of the site uses iframes), you can right-click and select “properties” to inspect the security details.
Email Addresses and SMS
Nar-Club uses email and SMS to communicate with members who have booked certain events and to inform members about upcoming events. We also use email and SMS to notify members of updates, general news and event information. Our policy is to keep emails and SMS to a minimum and only contact members when we have something valuable to say. We do not want to send you any spam. We believe this is a valuable service for members and gives Nar-Club more flexibility in the type and timing of events we can offer. Should any member prefer not to receive such communications, please contact us. Members will also need an email address to log in to the online database system and access some advanced features such as bookings.
Non-members – If you make an enquiry about Nar-Club and provide Nar-Club with your email address and/or mobile phone number, we may from time to time send you email or SMS messages to inform you about Nar-Club activities that we think may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive emails or SMS messages from Nar-Club, please contact us.
Photos
Everyone who attends Nar-Club events agrees that they may be filmed and/or photographed and grants us all rights to use your image (or the people in your group booking) free of charge. We may publish photos and videos taken by Nar-Club staff, our representatives or received from members on our website and in promotional materials on the Nar-Club network. It is important for us to share photos with other members attending events and with new inquirers who want to learn more about Nar-Club and what we do. We will always try to ensure that all photos used are in good taste and not offensive. However, if you see a photo that you do not want to be used, please contact us with details. In the case of web photos, we will remove them as soon as possible, and in the case of printed material, we will ensure that the photo is not used in subsequent prints.
Information You Can Access
When a member logs into the online booking system, it will show details of members’ existing bookings and allow members to change their passwords. Once logged in, this information is always accessible by clicking on the dashboard details. In this area you can access your personal details, change them or reset your password.

This site contains links to other sites that may be of interest to visitors to this site. However, Nar-Club cannot be held responsible for the content or practices of such sites.
